Bookworm!

  • Mood: Eager
  • Reading: HP4 and TLOTR1
Wow. It's been two months since I put something here. It's weird that I talk much less here.

So anyway, because I'm not yet sleepy and I want to talk, talk, and talk, I think I'd just blab here all night.

I'm in a HP mania again! Yay for Rowling! I've dedicate myself to finish all of the books in our school library until the last day of the year. I hope I won't tear/lose/break/wet or any stuff I don't want to do to books. And I hope I won't have to pay for anything (esp. for overusing the library!)

I borrowed my classmate's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire hardbound copy! And yes, it's a gigantusaurus! It's big, it's huge, and it's still lots of fun, even if I have to bring it to school for every freaking day. I think I'll manage.

And I also borrowed Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. This one's a new copy and so I have to take good care of it. I'm the first one to ever use it, you know. I don't know how I'll manage to finish it in a week loaded with school works. The prologue's so lengthy and I'm afraid I'll get bored soon. I don't want to abandon any book. :( I want to finish the TLOTR series.

I want to read Dan Brown's books also. I'm such a loser, I've never read the Da Vinci Code. I guess I have to read much faster so I can get a hold on that book before September comes. Oh wait, there's a lot to happen this August. I don't think I can finish any book. :(

I haven't had any practice for the upcoming program our school will be having. I have to sing and I don't know what I'll be singing. I'm so good at procrastinating. And the Ateneo College Entrance Test is coming. I'm so excited! I'll be meeting my good ol' best friend there. I wonder what he looks like now. Oh well, I guess I have to wait till the 20th.

I do talk a lot. :P

And oh, I wanna join a lit contest. I wonder if I'll ever have the guts to send an entry. I wanna win a subscription so bad. I wanna avail the critique privilege. :( I better think of something about "Not the End of the World". I guess, I should try.

And another thing, I've joined a cool group called devCRIT. And yes, we do give out critiques. I haven't actually given out any official critique. But I think I'll do one this week. I'm preoccupied with the unofficial ones other deviants asked from me.

I think this will be the last part. Because it's morning soon and I haven't had any sleep yet. I'll snooze in class tomorrow. :\

Thanks! How long have you been a lit critic for devCRIT?

Since the start really, not a clue how long that is though. :P About two months? Something like that.

Ohh. So DevCRIT's a lot younger than I thought. How does it feel giving out critiques?

devCRIT isn't that old, no. But it'sactive! :D

Feels good, very good. It helps my own writing as well, when you rend to pieces someone else's work (in a civil manner of course. :D). When you know you don't like something, it's sometimes a real puzzle to figure out why you don't like it. And that's useful to keep in mind when writing your own work. :)
